Banyan trees are my favorite organism (see above). I live in Miami where there are thousands of banyans, and where I am a lecturer of Writing Studies at the University of Miami. I own six (6) plants. If I could only wear one color for the rest of my life, it would be jade green. There are two mango trees in my backyard, neither of which will stop throwing blossom petals into my coffee. I’ve written a feature length movie that I’ve never showed anyone. I’ve published poems. I love teaching. Language is my favorite thing—no matter which way you spin it, it always comes back.
